The Trinity Challenge aims to amp up the difficulty of Final Fantasy VII, without being an overwhelmingly difficult run. It severely limits materia combination and usage, as well as removing item, accessory, and source usage completely – among other changes.
-Must abide by the trinity concept at all times – assign each character in the active party one of three roles: tank, DPS, or healer.
*Role determines materia choices for that character (see table).
*No duplicate roles. You cannot have two or more DPS/healers/tanks in play at once.
*Roles can be interchanged and swapped between party members at will, but you must always abide by materia rules afterwards!
-No Items, No Sources, No Accessories
-No Level 4 / Ultimate Limit Breaks (Level 3 OK)
-No Summon / Uber-Powerful Materia Allowed (see table)
-All characters can equip up to a their four socket linked weapon, and a Mythril Armlet (two sockets linked) – Later party members must downgrade to appropriate tier.
