Hey all, huh, not much to say here. I live in Japan, so if you have questions about that or the games we have here, let me know and I can reply to you when I'm around to it. I tend to look at the games here and comment, but I'm nowhere as knowledgeable as the others, so yea... take with a grain of salt. Cheers.

Oh yea, I knew this existed, I saw it on Steam.
It looks fun to be fair, and there are three different approaches to it, so some replayability.
I heard the playthrough is kinda short, but to be honest, at the price it's at, it's a fair deal.
I wonder if I can get it in Japan... I'll have a look at the shop later when I turn on my Switch.

The ambiance is kinda cool, I'd play this.

Not gonna lie.
I kinda want this.
That's it, no sassy comment, or anything else that makes me look like I know what I'm talking about.
I just want this.
Hyper Light Drifter - Special Edition

This still has to sell itself to me.
It looks fine, no worries there, but I feel like something in the gameplay is missing.
Don't ask me what it is, there's just something... that should be there... that isn't...
Call me crazy.
West of Loathing
March 23, 2018 02:50:11 AM
Kingdom of Loathing.
A classic.
If you haven't played it, go ahead and do so now (look it up in Google, it'll pop right on top).
If you aren't into this kind of humor, you might not be appealed to this game either, but as far as I'm concerned, Kingdom of Loathing was a great game, and I am looking forward to this one too.
Banner Saga 3
March 23, 2018 02:45:37 AM
Just the 3rd one? Where is 1 or 2?
This is a Saga, it's a story that continues. And the developers said that the 3rd installment would be the last one. It looks nice, a little à la Fire Emblem, amazing animations and art, and some great strategy.
I would play from the Banner 1 though, I don't want to jump to Banner 3 right away...
I hope the developers get Banner 1 and 2 on the Switch too, then we can talk.
Desert Child

If this is below $10, I'll be tempted.
Looks like a chill little game for when you have a little time to kill without having the hours you feel you need to have a feeling of progress like in other bigger games.
Decay Of Logos

Yes, this looks promising, but as jonnydarkfang noted, the combat system is where it will most likely be make or break. Although it has a certain Dark Souls feel to it, if it is not done properly, it will remove all the fun from the game. It looks like Zelda meets Dark Souls, and if the good aspects of both are taken, it could be a great game even if it is not completely on par with the other two.
Keeping an eye out for this one.
Devious Dungeon
March 13, 2018 09:06:47 AM
Mobile port or not, what I see here is a low-graphic hack & slash.
There's no hint of a story, puzzles, character development, nothing. Just hit the things in the dungeon, get stronger, to hit stronger things, to get stronger, to... kill the boss I guess?

This is interesting in its own right, although I would look at the price first.
It's a very typical RPG à la Zelda. Could be worth it depending on the price/completion time ratio.
Code of Princess EX

Alright, my interest is peaked because it's all about efficiency and action.
Little video cut-scenes for every move? Get outta here!
This game looks like it gets the story across whether you want it or not, and you just deal with it!
I like that. No fooling around. Straight to it, Kiddo.

This is...
this... is....
What is this?!
Dragon Quest Builders

Now this is something worth mentioning.
Note that I have never played Minecraft, not am I likely to do so. Also I really like the concept Minecraft brought forth, and as far as I am hoping the concept to be polished and brought even further, I am not appealed by the game. Don't ask me why, it just never clicked.
Now with Dragon Quest Builder, this is another story. I first put this game in the same category as Minecraft, but I was wrong. This was brought to light by the Review on this site, to be fair. The questing, fighting, and general balance that is missing from Minecraft is enhanced in DGB, which makes a generally more wholesome experience. I am quite happy with the result.
I've been dedicating most of my time on this gamer recently, to the disarray of my wife who wants to play Zelda.
Rock-paper-scissors, woman!!
Okami HD
March 12, 2018 10:32:35 AM
I loved playing Okami, and seeing coming to the Switch is a big appeal.
I really went through hell and back with the motion controls back on the Wii, and I do believe the Switch will make this 3 or 4 times easier, whether with the controllers or the touch screen.
The character designs and atmosphere is also very Switch-like.
For those who have not played or not finished Okami yet, this is a big "to get".
The Seashore

Oh my god, I'm so split on this one.
On the one side, it seems to be taking its inspiration from everything SNES had to offer and push it even further; it seems to be as basic as it can be and still lash and surprise you by its designs or mechanics. Yet on the other side, it seems limited by the same aspect, where you can see so much potential halted by graphical limits.
I want to believe in this one, I really do, so please; let me see more!!
Pixel Noir

As this is a detective-based game, my biggest wish is that the story is enthralling and pulls the player into the narrative. Graphics are basic yet pleasant, it's nothing bad and even slightly better, in my opinion, than Stardew Valley. Composer Hiroki Kikuta could (and will most likely) make this game very nice music-wise. Combat system seems to be the basic turn-base system, it is yet to see if any innovation has been brought to it.
All in all, I think it's something to keep an eye on, although I will wait to hear more.
For The King
February 28, 2018 07:38:51 PM
This looks like a nice and interesting game. To be honest, I'm slightly apprehensive of the combat system, as the trailer only shows (what I believe are) the same few combat moves, so it could be redundant after a while. It also seems to be relatively slow, especially if we can't cut the attack animations.
The world and graphics look very nice. The exploration system seems intuitive and fun, although it is unclear how large the world is from the trailer.
I think this is one of those games I should check out more on Youtube first and then make a decision.

I mean, come on, that is one of the best concepts of all times.
You play a hero, get killed by one of your friends, who get to be the hero while you try to stop him, so that another friend get to be the hero, and so on. Without mentioning the devilish yet funny ad for it.
This sounds GREAT at parties, and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more. The graphics didn't matter to me at all, this thing looks like a lot of fun. I want it! Wishlist!
Crypt of the NecroDancer: Nintendo Switch Edition
February 26, 2018 04:40:53 AM
It really does look interesting, but I was wondering about the developers' passion.
They first released this game quite a while back, in 2014 or something, and it was going on for $3 or $4 on Steam.
Now, this is selling for $19.99.
Is there anything new? Are they keeping upgrading and updating the game? I'm on the fence on this one.
Battle Chef Brigade
February 26, 2018 04:21:13 AM
Yeess, yeessssss!! NOOO!!!
They had everything, the cooking, the monster battles, the duels, the story à la Shokugeki no Souma, and then they went and put Match-3 in there?!?
My heart is literally broken right now...

My interest is piqued. And it wasn't before I read your review. Good job.
I might check out some gameplay on Youtube, see what it actually looks like.
Thank you for sharing.
