Thank You

Hello, and welcome, Switch RPG fans!

It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the end of SwitchRPG. Although our 1,800+ article database and YouTube channel will remain online, we will not publish any more content on the former (save for some bits already planned) while the latter, at best, will only receive sporadic updates. What began as a Switch RPG database in 2018 quickly became one of the premier destinations for all things related to Switch RPGs, and it has been a blast!

However, all things eventually come to an end. The site has been through its ups and downs over the past three years, but I’d like to believe that one thing has remained consistent throughout: quality coverage of Nintendo Switch RPGs. Our entire team poured thousands of hours into their works over the years, and I wholeheartedly believe that this was crystal clear based on the end result. We’ve always been passionate about what we do, regardless of what storms were weathered along the way.

And for that – all of the work by the staff over the years, countless games played, and many, many hours working on content – I’m truly grateful. But I’m not just thankful for the staff, I’m also so appreciative of our readers, listeners, and watchers. It has blown me away watching this thing explode in popularity over the years, and it simply could not have been done without each and every one of you. After all, what good is content creation without an audience? The time you all have taken to allow us to be heard is something I’m extremely appreciative of, and I cannot say thank you enough.

Please know that this decision was not made lightly. Despite the necessity for this conclusion, it has been extremely difficult to accept. While the entire staff have been essential in pumping out consistent content each and every week, Gio and I have burned that midnight oil for so long that there’s simply not a drop left. And truthfully, when something gets in the way of physical and mental health, it is time to take a step back and reevaluate the situation. It takes a lot of work to run a brand, even a mildly successful one, but the whole process has given an invaluable perspective that I’m certain both Gio and myself will keep close well after the dust settles here.

While SwitchRPG will soon fade from relevancy, I believe its legacy will live on. We’ve built something really special here, and such a foundation will not be shaken so easily. As mentioned earlier, our library of content will remain online, and our active Discord channel will continue to be a thing. I have no doubt that each and every one of our talented staff members will find a new platform to speak their minds from. And who knows, maybe those of us that need this change the most will join the fray again someday? Time will tell…but for now, I do know this: it has been a long, adventurous ride, and it’s something I will never forget.

Thank you.
