|Smoke & Sacrifice Review via TheSixthAxis
A dark and twisted fantasy RPG which uses elements of survival games to great effect, Smoke & Sacrifice is a beautiful piece of indie software. Tonally and physically challenging, the artistry on display sets it apart from its peers, creating a foreboding world that's well worth being drawn into.

Go to hell and back to save your son in this gorgeous, flawed story-driven survival game.
|Review: Smoke and Sacrifice (Switch) via Nintendojo
Despite some of the aggravations, Smoke and Sacrifice is a fascinating entry into the Switch lineup, and is worth a look for players pining for a crafting-based action RPG on that system.

Smoke and Sacrifice is yet another worthy entry in the survival genre. While it isn’t the best one, it certainly has a lot going for it and is a still a cracking little title. It has an impressive overarching story which is rare in the genre.
|Smoke and Sacrifice's Great Story Needs More Structure via Paste Magazine
The story, mechanics, lore and aesthetic are all fantastic, but some simple tweaks, like improvements to the mission notes, would balance the crafting and survival aspects enough to make them less of an impediment to completion. That being said, whatever effort you put in to finish Smoke and Sacrifice will be worth it. It's flawed, but it's a step in the right direction for survival crafting games, and I hope to see others in its genre take the same initiative towards aesthetic and narrative in the future.

|I'm getting this on release. The art style is gorgeous to me. Not sure if I'm way off-base here, but I'm getting a little bit of Kubo and the Two Strings vibes from the aesthetic, perhaps from the paper feel.
"Creatures forage, mate, breed and prey on one another, creating a living world." Um, what?? I enjoy survival rpgs, and this looks like a neat take on the genre. I've got my eye on this game now.

|Judging from the video this looks interesting. Always have my eye out for a good RPG and it looks to fit the bill. Seems to have some decent building and crafting elements, obviously early days but I definitely want to see more!
