Review: Nine Parchments (Nintendo Switch) via Pure Nintendo

Nine Parchments has a lot of potential, it's just too bad most of that potential didn't make the final cut.

Nine Parchments (Switch) Review via NintendoWorldReport

Nine Parchments has its problems, but for the most part, it is still an entertaining dungeon crawler.

Nine Parchments is a very interesting take on a few genres blended together. If you've ever wanted a Harry Potter game but with a Diablo influence with some Magicka thrown in, Nine Parchments is the game for you. I'm a little hesitant to recommend it as a purchase for solo players but for playing with friends, this is a whole lot of fun.

Nine Parchments Review via IGN

Nine Parchments' elemental magic action makes for a good co-op dungeon crawling experience. It's light on interesting loot, but big on whimsey and fast-moving action. If you plan on running through the campaign on your own, your run might be a little frustrating because you can't exploit every weakness, but having some friends join you on your quest evens the odds. But without the promise of exciting rewards for battling bosses, I soon ran out of reasons to replay.

Nine Parchments Review via Switch Player

Nine Parchments is a charming little dungeon-crawler that boasts some truly stunning visuals and intuitive gameplay, but suffers from a distinct lack of depth. Nevertheless, if you can get a group of pals together, you'll be in for a spellbinding time.

Blindly bought Nine Parchments since I was a fan of the Trine series. Didn’t care for Has Been Heroes. Needless to say, this game is FUN. Especially playing with other players online. It’s like Gauntlet and Diablo with more emphasis on mage-wizard classes. I’m having a blast. Haven’t put it down since I bought it.

The gameplay reminds me of Magicka which inspired me to try to get it, but I've been told by a few friends and read a good number of reviews that don't recommend this game at all.

I was really excited when this game was announced. The look reminded me of Diablo. But then I downloaded the demo. Kinda downhill from there. Visually looks good but the gameplay was dull and boring.
