Kamiko Review via Nintendo Insider

All of us at some point in our lives would have bought a much more inferior game than Kamiko that would have lasted a lot longer. But at the end of the day, if you get a better game at a very low price, regardless of how long the experience lasts, if you asked me which is the better deal of the two, I would go with Kamiko every day.

KAMIKO (Switch eShop) Review via NintendoWorldReport

That being said, I can easily admit that the game is super short and the levels won't change on future playthroughs. If you have seen the content once, you will know the game inside out. That might a sticking point for some, but the various characters do make it worth your while.

Kamiko Nintendo Switch Review via Gadgets 360

We did find ourselves wishing for a better story and slightly more in terms of gameplay, and the length of the game. However, the game's short length keeps it from feeling overly repetitive.

Kamiko Review for Nintendo Switch via Nintendo Enthusiast

Kamiko is a fun pick-up and play experience, with great visuals, good gameplay, and makes for a fun retro-inspired experience. It's worth exploring the game with each of the 3 characters just to see how different they actually play, which adds some replay value to the title. If you are looking for an inexpensive game for a weekend playthrough, Kamiko is a good pick.

Review: Kamiko via Destructoid

absolutely love the colorful art style that makes up the set pieces that themselves tell a story of a forgotten post-apocalyptic world, and the soundtrack is composed of retro-inspired chiptune. While the game is quite short, what is here is worth playing for the cost of entry.

I keep saying I'm going to get back into this and actually work on improving my time, but I just haven't had a window for it in awhile. Highly recommended, especially with the current sale price. Well worth the $5 at regular price too!

When KAMIKO launched on the Nintendo Switch, it was hard to believe that a $5 game could be so good. There are 3 characters to play from each with their own play style. The first play through took about 45 mins and each one after that was less. I beat the game with each of the 3 characters: Sword, Bow and Sword & Shield. I felt the Sword & Shield character was OP. The game has 4 stages and each one has a secret item plus HP and energy upgrades to find. You can make the game harder by skipping those upgrades. This game reminds me of the old NES days when you just want to play a game and beat it in one sitting. I enjoyed it a lot and for the price you can't go wrong 7.5/10.

I might grab it for 3 bucks if it's still on sale. I'm not a fan of the genre, but I'm down to try any game that has good reviews and is on a good sale.

I did a single playthrough and it was enjoyable. It is not really my thing, but it is a great value for the price. Keep in mind that it is very light on the RPG elements as well.

Oh yea, I knew this existed, I saw it on Steam.
It looks fun to be fair, and there are three different approaches to it, so some replayability.
I heard the playthrough is kinda short, but to be honest, at the price it's at, it's a fair deal.
I wonder if I can get it in Japan... I'll have a look at the shop later when I turn on my Switch.

Fun game. Completed 1 playthrough, but there are two more play styles available. I recommend it if you see it on sale
