Game Description

Lone Wolf is back, as a video game with a brand-new story, a deep combat system, stunning graphics and much more! Make meaningful choices and carve your own path through this epic non-linear adventure. Test your strength in dynamic turn-based battles, prove your skill with the lock-picking minigame and accept the challenge of wits posed by the mysterious Shianti Cube!

The author Joe Dever has played an active role in the development of the game. The story he has written fits with the original continuity, but it also sheds a new light on Lone Wolf's world, Magnamund!

I've been told that a good game to hold this to is Hand of Fate, where the combat isn't the focus, but the storytelling element is. I think I may grab this, it's only 15 bucks and looks worth it to me.

Interesting title, it has been recommended by a friend of mine so I might give it a try.

I've only put in an hour-ish so far but I've enjoyed what I've played. I really enjoy the story bits more than the actual combat, not that the combat is awful or anything but the story and how it's shaped by your decisions is very well thought out.

I've barely begun this, but I love the book interface and the dramatic split between narrative and battle modes. The trailers don't really show just how much of a reading experience the game is. Has a properly old-school 1980s adventure feel to it.

@VehicularVehicle That's so good to know! I'm watching this one closely. Looking forward to hearing more opinions on it before I actually pull the trigger.

Guys, this is a really good game, I love it. It's an interactive novel, and it feels in place on the Switch.

I played LOADS of Fighting Fantasy by Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone when I was a kid! Don't know how well they would fit on Switch though. I'm expecting more than just an interactive novel but it being a mobile port isn't filling me with confidence. Hopefully it works but I'll be waiting for reviews before I pull the trigger on that purchase.

Huh. Looks cool. No overworld traversal, it plays like a choose-your-adventure gamebook, with a turn-based strategy combat system.
