Darkest Dungeon Thrives on Switch via GameSpace

I can’t recommend Darkest Dungeon enough. Its hallway crawling, madness suffering, darkness fighting, dungeon romping is some of the best RPG play I’ve had in recent years. The game shines on the Switch, despite a few minor setbacks in the font and controls. If you’re a veteran of the game or have never tried it, put it on your want list because Darkest Dungeon is very easily added to the Switch’s growing list of “Best Games”.

Tough and unforgiving, yet keeps you coming back.

Review: Darkest Dungeon via Geeks Under Grace

Darkest Dungeon is just short of being an absolute masterpiece, but is still an amazing game. Red Hook Studios meticulously crafted a memorable experience that is fun to play in short bursts or get lost in for hours.

Darkest Dungeon Switch review - DarkZero via DarkZero

Darkest Dungeon still remains a fantastic, dark RPG on its move to the Switch, one that offers a challenge stacked with replayability.

Darkest Dungeon: Official GBAtemp Review via GBAtemp

Darkest Dungeon on the Switch is basically just that, Darkest Dungeon on the Switch. It's not the first portable version (that's the Vita), it's not the first touch screen version (that's iOS), and it has no exclusive features that make it worth more on the Switch than any other console, but it's still Darkest Dungeon. If you've never played the game before, or if you want to play it on the go and don't own an iPad or Vita, then the Switch version is likely your best choice.

I bought this game to tide me over until Octopathtraverler came out, but it’s so good I can’t put it down. 😁

This is probably the game that I'm the worst at but equally love playing. I am so bad at keeping my poor team alive.

I cannot recommend this game enough though if you're looking for a good solid challenge on the go.

Brutally difficult but oh so rewarding when you complete a quest.

This game scratches so many itches that it's hard to count them all, but I'll give it a try anyway. Tactical based combat, resource management, challenging gameplay, stylish graphics, roguelike influences, great atmosphere, infinite replayability, a cool narrator and amazing boss battles.

And remember, prodigious size alone does not dissuade the sharpened blade.

Such a fun Dark game. This one is much better in hand held using touch controls. I watched a few YouTube begginger videos before I got too deep and that helped me at the start a lot. There is still a lot of trial & error like any challenging game but it’s a fun ride.

Remind yourself that overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.

This game is awesome. Your team will die, be prepared for it and try not to get too attached. Or, be like me and name them after your Discord friends and then publicly mourn them when they die.

Hard. Cruel. Dark. Evil.
You will love this game until you hate it.
Casuals and faint of heart abstain.
