|Review: Brave Dungeon + Dark Witch Story:COMBAT (Switch eShop) via Nintendo Life
Brave Dungeon + Dark Witch Story:COMBAT is an uneven package. Stripped bare of any superfluous elements, one game presents a decent dungeon crawl while the other relies far too much on luck to make it feel worthwhile. For anyone who enjoys the grind of turn-based combat, un-tethered to any arbitrary plot, then there's certainly enough here to justify the budget price, and the additional card game can be viewed as a bonus distraction or mini-game. If the basic mechanics hook you in then there's hours of snappy gameplay to enjoy, but the sheer repetition will potentially turn away anyone still on the fence.

If you're looking for a strategic TCG game on the Switch, this will just make you sad.

|If you can pick this up for $5 get it. Brave Dungeon can be hard at first but when you figure out how the game works, it isn't that hard. I recommend playing the game on the hardest difficulty. Brave Dungeon has a lot of replayability because beating the game unlocks a lot of new options for your next playthrough. Dark Witch Story: COMBAT is a waste of your time, don't play it. It too bad that for the Switch version they added DWS:Combat and increased the price. The 3DS version is just Brave Dungeon and $5. It took me about 11 hours to beat the game and it's special dungeon. I spent a few more hours on a new game+. I played DWS:Combat for 3 hours and stopped. I would give Brave Dungeon a 7.5/10 and DWS:Combat a 2/10.|
