Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 – Nintendo Switch via TrustedReviews

The Switch version of the game doesn't really add much more to the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 experience that you wouldn't find on the original iteration of the game. There is some bonus content nestled deep in the Story mission that intrepid fans are going to really enjoy (access to the previous game's Story missions might make this an instant sale to some Dragon Ball nuts), but overall this version of the game performs worse and looks worse than the original releases.

Review: Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Switch) via Hardcore Gamer

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was an entertaining but flawed game when it was released last year and it remains such on Nintendo Switch. If anything, this port feels like the worst version to pick up, with numerous graphical sacrifices and severe frame rate issues in the hub city whilst playing on the handheld mode.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Switch) Review – Time Patrollers on the Go via CGMagazine

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for the Switch offers its own set of unique features, only available for the Nintendo Switch in order to make up for its lacking power.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Switch Review via God is a Geek

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on Nintendo Switch is a very interesting late port and one that is very good but definitely could have been a lot better.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Switch) Review via NintendoWorldReport

But mostly, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 looks, sounds and feels like Dragon Ball Z. Voices are spot-on, cinematic are true to the original and the battles are epic. A few characters are way too wordy, but so is the source material, so I'll give it a pass. This is a love letter to Dragon Ball Z, and anyone who ever enjoyed the show will find something fun here. Just make sure to bring some friends.

I really enjoyed playing through the first game, but I also found myself unable to get back into later on. It makes me hesitant to pick up the sequel.

I'm probably the only one tired of seeing Dragon Ball everywhere, huh?

This is a late addition to the site, but I'm glad to see it here. I enjoyed it for a few dozen hours and it was very much an RPG-like gameplay loop of leveling up, learning new moves, progressing through a story mode and sidequests, finding and buying items and equipment--but all in a condensed area rather than a large world.
