Weekend Gaming Playlist
I don’t know about you, but in my neck of the woods we have been dealing with torrential downpours for the past several days, and there is no end in sight. Needless to say, I’ll be spending the majority of my weekend indoors, hopefully working through some of my Switch games! I may stream some of these to our Facebook page as well, so if you haven’t followed us over there already, consider doing so now.
Final Fantasy IX

I’m over here enjoying the crap out of the Switch port of Final Fantasy IX while mainstream media is trashing it. Yes, it comes with baggage from previous platforms, like the world map music glitch, but it’s freaking Final Fantasy IX on Switch. Although I would have preferred that they cleaned those skeletons out of the closet with the Switch version, it’s not like the game isn’t functional (at least to the point of my progression). For now, I’m going to leave the pitchfork sheathed. Final Fantasy IX is likely to be my go-to game for quite a while, whenever I have moments of downtime between reviewing other titles. Be on the lookout for a Switch RPG review of Final Fantasy IX by Timothy Taylor soon.
Magic Scroll Tactics

I picked up this side-scrolling tactical RPG a few days ago, and my impression so far are pretty positive. I’ll be reviewing this one for the site, so stay tuned for that soon.
DragonFangZ

DragonFangZ is a fairly unique roguelike that I reviewed just a few weeks ago, but I find myself going back to it time and time again. After recording a preview of it for YouTube this week, I’ve gotten the itch to once again face its challenges. If you can look past the atrocious translation, it is an incredibly fun game.
That’s it for me. What are you playing this weekend?
