Weekend Gaming Playlist (9-30-22)
Happy last day of September! Wow, where did 2022 go? Q4 2022 is upon us and for some that means this year’s biggest gaming releases are almost upon us. In between my kids’ many soccer games, I’ll be playing the following:
I checked this game out when it came to gamepass earlier this year. I played the first hour or so and hoped that it would come to Switch. I have heard so many great things about it. It has this very mysterious in-game manual and can be brutally hard, but I felt this was a game that was meant to be played handheld. I prefer to play a lot of games that way these days, but especially a heavily inspired 2D Zelda game. Playing Tunic on the Switch comes with some sacrifices, though, as I have heard it looks a “little fuzzy” and it’s 30FPS vs 60FPS. Either way, I look forward to jumping back into this game; I do like Zelda and Zelda inspired games.
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim
I made a little bit of progress in 13 Sentinels since my last weekend playlist. I have unlocked more of the characters and learned how their stories play out with different paths they can take. I have also unlocked the ability in the RTS aspect of the game to upgrade my team’s abilities and customize my party for each wave as to have any of them avoiding burnout.
Disney Dreamlight Valley
I have put more time into this game than I would like, as I have other games to play, but it’s just got its hooks in me. Plus, I like unwinding at the end of the day and being able to play and enjoy this game with my daughter and even wife now – yeah, she joined in as well. The team behind the game just announced we can expect our first expansion in October which will introduce Scar, so looking forward to that and especially how they intend to support the game and frequency of updates for it for the remainder of the year and into next year.
That’s it for me this weekend! What are you going to play? Let us know in the comments below, or over on Twitter. Enjoy your time playing, stay safe, and be well!
