Weekend Gaming Playlist
Hello everyone! Hope you all are making the best of the current situation, staying safe, and finding time to play video games. Video games give us the ability to leave our reality, even only for a little bit, allowing us to visit all sorts of different worlds, experience powerful stories, and come together to enjoy, and try, new experiences. Whatever you decide to play, hopefully you make some time for yourself (and others) in light of the situation. Here is a look at what is on my playlist for this weekend.
CHASM

CHASM has been on my backlog for a while now, but I finally decided to start it this week. It’s a Metroidvania that uses some procedural generation to piece together sections of maps differently each and every time you play. While many things persist across runs, the layout is always different in subsequent playthroughs. So far, it’s been a blast!
Animal Crossing: New Horizons

I didn’t have any interest in Animal Crossing initially, but after buying a copy for my daughter’s birthday, I’m now hooked on it. It has been a great bonding experience with her, and I ended up getting a second copy for myself. We have spent the past week or so sharing our experiences, resources, and joining each other’s island to see how we have customized it, or to just spend time fishing together.
Children of Morta

Everyone in our Discord has been talking positively about this one, so I’ve been excited about starting it up. Children of Morta is a top-down action-rpg which tells an extraordinary tale about a family of heroes. Each family member has their own unique abilities and, when unlocked, can aid in tackling the procedurally generated dungeons, caves, and lands.
That’s it for me this weekend! What are you going to play? Let us know in the comments below, and enjoy your time playing!
