Weekend Gaming Playlist
Another weekend has arrived, and with it some much-needed free time. While I have a lot of family things to attend to this weekend, I will be staying at a hotel for a couple days, which means that the Switch will be coming with me, and I’ll have those night hours to whittle down my ever-growing backlog.
Collection of Mana – Trials of Mana

With this being the first time that we’ve had an official way to play this wonderful Action RPG, I’m finally sinking time into it before the remake releases later this year. I’m super happy with the multiplayer aspect, with my spouse and I able to use the couch co-op to not only experience a classic, but also spend some quality time together doing something we both love. I’m already enamored with the game’s colorful graphics and entrancing tunes, so I can’t wait to see how this story unfolds.
Final Fantasy X Remaster

I have a lot of great memories with this game. It was a source of a lot of happiness during my teen years. Spending hours plodding along through Spira and its beautiful landscapes was a great way to escape the stresses of everyday life. Revisiting it now, not only in glorious HD, but in a format that supports handheld play is a dream come true. With the new sphere grid and other changes, things are still pretty fresh while letting me relive a game I loved. Sadly, my playthrough fell through the cracks with all the major releases that have come out over the course of the last year, but I’m happy to say that I’m making time for this over the weekend. Spira doesn’t save itself.
Curious to see what your takeaway is from Trials. I tried playing it last year and couldn’t take it, but I imagine it is far more interesting to play via multiplayer.
So far we like it! The multiplayer is way better than running solo, personally.
