Weekend Gaming Playlist
After many seemingly unanswered pleas, the weather has finally mellowed out here in the southern part of the US. No longer do you need to shower after taking a trip to the mailbox – you actually might want to wear a jacket in the morning! For me, it means finally doing things around the house that have been neglected due to the pounding heat of Summer, but it also paves way for additional gaming time outdoors. Pick it up and go – that is what the Switch is for, right? Anyhow, this is what I’m digging into over the weekend:
Dragon Quest XI S

My top priority shouldn’t come as a surprise to those that follow me on Twitter. I’ve been blowing up my feed with spoiler-free footage of the definitive edition of Dragon Quest XI, and for good reason. Although I invested 60 hours into the PC version beforehand, I’m finding more and more to love with my second run, most of which has been played in the 2D mode. I still have a ways to go yet, which is why it is in my top position for this weekend.
Dragon Quest II

With Dragon Quest XI being an immense time-sink, I’ve taken it upon myself to play even more Dragon Quest along with it – this time, Dragon Quest II. Sound logic, right? Unlike my recently wrapped up Dragon Quest I playthrough, its sequel will be a brand-new experience for me, and I’m very much looking forward to getting into it, despite some of the questionable design decisions in this particular version.
Forager

Forager is a fantastic crafting/exploration RPG that is my current Let’s Play series for the SwitchRPG YouTube Channel. Although my playtime with it is limited, I’ve very much enjoyed hopping back into it intermittently. A review will follow the video series eventually, but I can already say that things are looking up for this indie title right now.
That’s it for me, but what about you? What will you be playing this weekend? Let us know!
