Weekend Gaming Playlist
**Last updated on March 29th, 2021 at 10:24 am
Having just finished up Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (my review here), this weekend will be dedicated to the backlog before summer’s heavy hitters start to drop. Next week, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 releases followed by Fire Emblem: Three Houses the week after. So, here is what I will be playing this weekend.
The Cadence of Hyrule ~ Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda
The graphical style and audio tracks for Cadence of Hyrule look and sound amazing, but having to play a Zelda game while keeping to a beat? I am not a rhythm-inclined person, but Brace Yourself Games earned a lot of praise for their prior game, Crypt of the NecroDancer, and The Legend of Zelda series is one of my favorites, so I just have to check this game out.
The Messenger: Picnic Panic(DLC)
I really enjoyed my time with the Messenger last year when the game launched on Nintendo Switch. Since then, Sabotage Studio has been hard at work on some DLC, Picnic Panic, which launched yesterday (7/11/2019). I am excited to jump back into this game and see what’s new. The Messenger is an action platformer that draws inspiration from Ninja Gaiden and other retro games, and infuses them in a wonderful 8-bit & 16-bit experience.
Trine Enchanted Edition
Trine is an action platformer from Frozenbyte where you take control of three heroes set in a fairy tale world. Trine has been in my backlog for a while, but with Trine 4’s release approaching this fall, it’s time to see what this series is all about.
That’s it for me this weekend, let us know in the comments below what you will be playing. Thank you for visiting us!
