Weekend Gaming Playlist

The 4th of July has come and gone. We’ve had our fill of BBQ and fireworks, and now it’s time to muscle through one more work day and enjoy some well-earned gaming time! Here is what I’ll be enjoying this weekend.

Fox N Forests

Indie developer Bonus Level recently enjoyed a limited physical release for Fox N Forests, so I decided to join in on the fun. Rick the Fox hasn’t disappointed – I’m enjoying the dynamics between the addictive platforming and the excellent changing of the seasons gimmick. A very rewarding sense of progression allows Fox n Forests to really sink its teeth in to you. Come back soon to catch my full review!

Artifact Adventure Gaiden DX

This one came straight out of left field and has really surprised me. This 8-bit style open world RPG offers the player the same freedom to roam as Breath of the Wild and the same freedom of choice as the Mass Effect trilogy. Choice and consequence are rare commodities in games that are meant to invoke nostalgia, but Artifact Adventure Gaiden DX proves that the concept is just as intriguing with 8-bit graphics and MIDI-style music.

That’s it for me – a couple of indie gems to brighten your weekend! We at SwitchRPG hope everyone had a fun and safe Independence Day, and we thank you for visiting us!

This weekend will be about enjoying 2 new Switch purchases!

In Between and Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate™. Very different games but same awesome console. It is my first time playing a Monster Hunter game. A purely equipment-based RPG that is fully based on both skill and crafting. I like it…

Are those games that you posted at a cheap price? That always makes things sweeter! I bought those 2 games partially because they were 90% off and 50% off, respectively.

That 50% off Monster Hunter was soo tempting, but I already have so many games I need to play!
