Weekend Gaming Playlist
While Spring’s vegetative rebirth might bring joy to those who appreciate nature and its beauty, for others it marks the beginning of a long, arduous battle against the earth – otherwise known as yard work. While I have my fair share to do each and every week, you better believe I’ll be leaving my work boots at the door in order to make time for the Switch! Here is what I plan to play this weekend:
Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster

I remember being both annoyed and confused when I first popped in Final Fantasy X-2 back on the PS2 in 2003. The sequel to the critically acclaimed FFX marked the beginning of my waning interest in the later offerings of the franchise (save for XI and XII). That said, I cannot remember why it disgusted me, which is why I intend on giving it a fair shake once I’ve completed its predecessor.
Final Fantasy VII (Holy Trinity Challenge)

Old habits die hard. I can’t seem to get enough of the Switch version of Final Fantasy VII, and I’m currently well into my second challenge run – The Holy Trinity Challenge. I’ll definitely be streaming my progress over on our YouTube channel, so be on the lookout for more coverage soon!
My Time At Portia

Portia is the gift that keeps on giving, but only if you can look past its technical shortcomings. Like Stardew Valley before it, it is the type of game that keeps you coming back time and time again. I really enjoy streaming Portia too, so I’m sure I’ll be doing more of it this weekend.
Final Fantasy XII

Of all the games on this list, Final Fantasy XII is the one I really want to play, but is currently the lowest priority due to site coverage of it being delegated to other SwitchRPG staff. If I absolutely hate X-2, I might get into this one earlier than anticipated though.
That’s it for me! What are you playing this weekend?
