Weekend Gaming Playlist

Spring is in the air and we have made it to yet another weekend, so let the games begin! Some of you might be getting a head start on this weekend, or you might be hitting the road and need a game to keep you company on your travels. If that is the case, then you have come to the right place as the titles below might help in making you jump for joy this holiday weekend!

Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remastered

First on deck is an oldie but goodie! You might have already guessed that this weekend would not be complete without the inclusion of one of the best selling Final Fantasy titles in the series – FFX. With over 8 million copies sold, this title alone ranks 5th in all-time sales for the PS2.

I personally had a blast playing FFX back in the day. From the cut scenes to character battle integration, I remember being knocked back by this title as a young lad – but wait, there’s more! This bundle also includes X-2, a title I have yet to play myself. However, I would be lying to you if I didn’t say I did this all for the blitz-ball. The ball itself looks like a futuristic Easter egg.

Maybe a turn-based, character swapping, summoner-calling, blitz-ball swimming, world-in-dire-peril RPG isn’t your thing though. If that is the case, then this next one might be better suited for you.

My Time At Portia

My Time At Portia is a relaxing open world-ish RPG where you can sit back and work to craft your workshop empire. This game has a bit of everything. If you are looking for a relaxing game to play this weekend, take a look at our review and see if you might be interested in it!

Super Smash Bros Ultimate

Last but certainly not least, an envelope was dropped at The Game Awards this past December. The Phantom Thieves of Hearts dropped a bombshell on Nintendo fans! While we knew Joker would be playable in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, many people have also seen this as a sign that the wonderful Persona series will be making its way over to the Switch. We are still in the dark on where this might lead, but this weekend I’m going to be using Joker to destroy my brother-in-law. Update 3.0 is now live!

I hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday weekend. Remember, stretch before hunting Easter eggs, do not forget where jelly beans come from, and always eat chocolate bunny’s ears first – they don’t need to hear what is about to happen. Happy Gaming!
