Weekend Gaming Playlist (4-1-22)
Spring has sprung and the timing happens to coincide with the fifth anniversary of the launch of the Nintendo Switch! Here is what I’ll be playing this weekend:
Ashwalkers

I consider French development team Dontnod (Life is Strange, Vampyr) to be one of the more creative teams of recent years, so I was naturally intrigued when I heard that a few members of Dontnod had branched away to form their own team – Nameless XIII. “Ashwalkers” is the team’s debut effort. The game has bland graphics and a steep learning curve, but is anchored by a unique story of survival that has kept me interested through the experience. Expect my full review in the coming days!
Shining Resonance: Refrain

I came upon this title for $15 USD recently. After coming here to SwitchRPG and searching the game, I found that our friend Phil had written a very thorough and sparkling review of Shining Resonance: Refrain years ago. After that, how could I resist pulling the trigger on it?
Earthbound Beginnings

Like many of you, I was thrilled to see the Mother series make its debut on Nintendo Switch Online. Earthbound will always have a special place in my heart. Having said that, it’s the only game in the Mother franchise I have actually played. After watching our “Let’s Play” series earlier in March, I was convinced that now is the perfect opportunity to change that!
That’s what I’ll be playing this weekend! I hope you’re able to mix in some gaming while enjoying some spring sunshine. What will you be playing?
