Weekend Gaming Playlist (12-24-21)

The Christmas Holidays are here and most of us find ourselves with some extra gaming time! Let’s put it to good use!

Paper Mario

Wanna know how awesome it is to be a SwitchRPG contributor? Yours truly was gifted enough eShop points to upgrade my Switch Online subscription! I spent the obligatory hours of nostalgia with Ocarina of Time, but Paper Mario was the game I was most excited for.
This spiritual successor of Super Mario RPG is one of the few N64 Classics that I missed the first time around, and I’m thrilled to have another chance at it. Now, may we have another chance at The Thousand Year Door?

Pokemon: Shining Pearl

Speaking of nostalgia, the Sinnoh remakes really bring home the bacon in that category. Do I think these remakes add much more to the originals other than a cute new aesthetic? Not really, but it’s still quite fun nonetheless. The surprises for having save data from previous Pokemon games have been a delight, and have consequently led to being vastly overpowered when combined with EXP Share…but I like that.

Dragonball Z: Kakarot

I plan to review this one very soon so I can’t give away too many details. Suffice to say that any DBZ fan with a Switch should absolutely play this one!

That’s what I’ll be enjoying in between the holiday festivities! SwitchRPG wishes all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! What will you be playing over the Holidays?
