Weekend Gaming Playlist
Ah – the joyous wonder that is spring is finally here! For some, the revitalization of foliage and flora marks a new beginning for both nature and personal goals. Time is a cruel mistress, however, and the season I used to adore now taunts me with sneezing fits and itchy eyes in my older age. The show must go on, though – there is grass to cut and shrubbery to trim – but once the dust/pollen settles, I’ll be getting into these games:
Littlewood

Littlewood provides a rare glimpse into a game world thats epic battle is already over – the ultimate fiend, slain – with the only objective being to rebuild and live life to the fullest. The premise alone is what separates it most from similar outings, such as Stardew Valley. Littlewood features a satisfying level of character progression akin to Rune Factory, but without any fighting.
Like I said, the battle has been won, and all the player has to worry about is living their life in whatever way they see fit. By that, I also mean doing everything for everyone since the townsfolk are completely worthless without intervention. They don’t call you the Hero of Solemn for nothing! In all seriousness, this game is great, and I’m very much looking forward to spending more time with it.
Monster Hunter Rise

I’m a complete newbie when it comes to the Monster Hunter series. On paper, it has always seemed like something up my alley, but I’ve just never taken the opportunity to really give one a go. I tried the demo of Monster Hunter Generations on Switch ages ago, but it wasn’t the best experience. Regardless, I’d like to give the series a genuine shot. Who knows, maybe this one will make a fan out of me?
That’s it for me this weekend! What are you going to play? Stay safe, be healthy, and be careful out there!
