Weekend Gaming Playlist
March is upon us and with it comes the fourth anniversary of the release of the Nintendo Switch! Here is what I’ll be playing this weekend.
Baobab’s Mausoleum

My latest indie adventure is cut from the same quirky cloth as games like ToeJam and Earl and Munch’s Oddysee. This rogue-lite meets top down dungeon crawler meets FPS adventure is certain to grab any gamer’s attention with its bizarre story, setting, and characters. The groovy soundtrack will stay stuck in your head as you try to wrap your mind around whatever the heck is going on in this game. Please look forward to my review right here on SwitchRPG in the next few days!
Tokyo Mirage Session FE: Encore

Gamers have been randomly finding outstanding Switch RPGs at clearance prices across the country as of late. I was beginning to think I could never get so lucky until I stumbled upon this gem at a local retail outlet. As you may remember, our staff was very fond of Tokyo Mirage Sessions and the game received multiple nominations during our Game of the Year announcements.
With an addicting battle system and top-notch dungeon design, it’s easy to understand why this game deserved another shot on the Switch. I have no idea why I didn’t jump on the bandwagon earlier .
Bowser’s Fury

Yeah yeah, it’s not a RPG….BUT HAVE YOU TRIED THIS GAME? The add-on to Super Mario 3D World Deluxe is a standalone open-world Mario game – and that’s something we’ve never experienced before. This could be an experiment for the 3D Mario team to determine if this formula is worth pursuing going forward. The answer to that hypothetical “would” be a resounding “yes” – this game is a blast.
These past four years have flown by, haven’t they?! And yet, it still feels as though the Switch is barely getting started. Well, that’s it for me. I hope everyone has a great weekend! What will you be playing?
