Weekend Gaming Playlist
We’ve almost made it to the end of the year! I hope you all find some peace and happiness these next couple of weeks, whether you partake in holiday festivities or not. For me personally, this weekend marks the beginning of a long-awaited (and much needed) break from the daily grind that is “work.” Here’s what I plan on getting into over the weekend.
Final Fantasy Legend II (Collection of SaGa)

I’ve had a lot of fun with the Collection of SaGa so far, even though I still find it hard to believe that it exists on the Switch! Going back through and playing these games that meant so much to me as a kid has been a blast, and I’m glad that I’m now knee-deep in my personal favorite of the bunch: Final Fantasy Legend II. This game is IMMENSELY better than the first game, vastly improving upon its systems across the board. I’ve never actually beaten this one, though, so I’ll be curious to see how I reflect on it once I actually have rolled the credits. I’ll be sure to report back with a comprehensive review once that has happened!
Final Fantasy Legend III (Collection of SaGa)

In the event that I roll credits on Legend II (and I think I’m close) I’ll be immediately diving into the capstone of the trilogy, Legend III. While the design decisions – dilutions, to some – here have always been a bit polarizing, I fondly remember enjoying it from start to finish as a kid. Time will tell whether it pans out in a similar fashion now, though!
Immortals: Fenyx Rising

I plan to get a bit more of this Greek mythology tale in between SaGa sessions…if my wife isn’t playing it first! She has struggled to enjoy much of anything besides Breath of the Wild (400+ hours) and Animal Crossing (100+ hours), but has certainly been impressed by this open-world adventure enough to play quite a bit of it recently. As long as she is willing, she will have priority on it, but I will take advantage of any openings should she decide to play something else.
That’s it for me this weekend! What are YOU going to play? Whatever you might be up to, please stay safe, healthy, and have a happy holiday season!
