Weekend Gaming Playlist

The holiday season is upon us! With 14 days (or less) left until Christmas, I really should be focusing on projects I need to finish. However, everyone needs to take a break from time to time. With all the fantastic games out right now, it’s hard to focus anyway! So, here’s a peek at some of what I will be playing this weekend. Happy Holidays!

Monster Sanctuary

Monster Sanctuary

Monster Sanctuary is my new obsession at the moment. It just released on Switch earlier this week and it is wonderful. I will be doing a full review for it once I’ve played more, but rest assured it is making me happy. Metroidvania with monster taming? Add in turn-based combat, exploration, and a huge variety of monsters and you have a perfect combination. I would absolutely recommend everyone check this game out if you haven’t heard of it. Plus, you get to name all your monsters, which leads me to having “Blobbert” fighting alongside “ScaryDude.” Maybe I need to come up with more creative names?

Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town

Story of Seasons

I have always loved the Story of Seasons games, and Friends of Mineral Town is no exception. I never played the original Harvest Moon version of this game, so it is all new to me. Ben recently posted a preview of the game that you can watch here. It’s a great game when you just need something to relax with a good cup of tea at the end of the day. Or, with the way 2020 has gone, maybe at the beginning of the day.

Ark Survival Evolved

Ark Survival Evolved

I’m a little late to the party with this one – okay, very late. My main gaming group recently got hooked on Ark Survival Evolved and so it’s been the main game we all are playing together currently. You get to tame dinosaurs…what else do you need to know? Okay, maybe a little more is needed. It’s essentially a survival game where you can gather resources and build things – think Minecraft with much better graphics. Also, you can tame dinosaurs.

Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077

I have to include the game on everyone’s social media right now! I actually don’t own Cyberpunk 2077 myself, but my husband preordered it. So, by the time you are all reading this, I’m sure I will have played it on his computer. Have to see what all the hype is about, after all. I’m sure I will be posting my thoughts on twitter later, for those that are interested.

World of Warcraft

And, as usual, I have to include World of Warcraft. I simply would be lying if I didn’t.

I sincerely hope everyone reading this has a great weekend. Play lots of games, stay healthy, and don’t forget to drink some water. Let me know what you’re playing! Is there a game I should have included in my weekend playlist? Happy Holidays, everyone!
