Weekend Gaming Playlist
With the holiday officially kicking off this week, I’m not going to be doing much outside of eating, browsing sales online, and playing games. With great sales on a bunch of awesome games, it’s hard to keep my wallet sealed! Thankfully, I’m in the middle of playing some great games that will hopefully stave off that spending urge.
Yakuza 3

My journey through the Yakuza series has been going fairly steady over the past few months, with me currently playing through the third installment of the series. After not being much of a fan of how combat felt in Kiwami 2, I’m surprisingly okay with the combat in 3. Add to the fact that I’ve already lovingly dubbed this game as the Kiryu Dad Simulator, this game has so far not disappointed. And of course, the drama has started right out of the gate.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity

As a big Hyrule Warriors fan, my excitement was through the roof when this title was first announced months ago. Add to the fact that we would be getting a more present plot and character interactions when it comes to the BOTW cast, and my money was already spent for this game. So far, my button-mashing fingers are not disappointed, watching as waves of Bokoblins, Moblins, and Wizzrobes fall under my superior gaming technique. I’m having the time of my life with this game, and I’m excited to see what comes next!
Seven Knights

This game has been a strange experience to play through. There are quite a few elements of this game that have left me wanting for more: story, character development, combat, etc. And yet, this game nonetheless has hooked its claws into me, and I often find myself playing for a couple of hours before realizing I spent my entire night focused on this one title. It is a nice in-between game, when I’m just not up for playing other games that would need my full investment.
And that’s how my weekend will end up playing out. What about you guys? Have you started playing any new games thanks to the sales happening currently, or have you protected your wallet and decided to play a game in your backlog? Let us know!
