Weekend Gaming Playlist

Happy Friday, everyone! It’s been a crazy hectic week and it’s going to be getting even more hectic with the Tokyo Game Show keeping us on our toes this weekend. Here are the games that I’ll be playing in the meantime to unwind and settle my mood just a bit.

Hades

I don’t typically play roguelike games, mainly because the thought of constantly having my progress reset after a loss is a deterrent for me. However, the character conversations and interactions in Hades are top notch, not to mention the art and the music to go along with each location and battle. It’s my first time playing a Supergiant game, so I wonder if their past two games are just as enthralling…

Yakuza Kiwami 2

I’ve been on the fast track of playing Yakuza and am currently on Kiwami 2. I am completely speechless at the fact that these games can continue to draw me in, especially at times when I’m just about to stop playing for the day. While I do have some qualms about how combat feels compared to 0 and Kiwami 1, I’m still enjoying my ride deeper into the Yakuza series.

Wintermoor Tactics Club

As a big fan of tactics games, of course I would have to check out Wintermoor Tactics Club. And boy, am I enjoying myself! The combat is a bit on the simple side, but the story and how the main character grows and experiences her surroundings makes for a very relatable and enjoyable experience.

At least I can say that these games will eventually end up on the “games that I have completed list.” What games will have you guys occupied this weekend?

There are three previous Supergiant games; Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre!
I’m excited to dig into Hades, it looks fantastic.

Oh yeah, I’d definitely recommend checking it out, it’s a treat. And playing through it has made me take a look into their other games, so I’ll probably try them out at some point too.
