Weekend Gaming Playlist (11-22-22)
Cold weather is finally here to stay, which means less time outside and more time inside, hopefully playing some games! In between the holiday festivities and its food-based comas, here’s what I’ll be up to this weekend.
Tactics Ogre: Reborn
Although I’ve already put 50 hours into this revitalized classic TRPG, I’ve only scratched the surface of its complete offerings. I intend to start a second playthrough in order to experience other facets of the story, and I may even hop into some post-game stuff as well. If you are on the fence about this one, definitely check out my comprehensive review that dropped earlier in the week and see for yourself why I think it is an essential part of any TRPG fan’s collection.
Square Enix’s answer to the Rune Factory series has me conflicted, to say the least. On one hand, I applaud the developers for doing something a bit different, but the game in its current state doesn’t feel polished enough to warrant a $60USD price point. That said, I’m still interested in checking out what all the Harvestella has to offer, and if you’d like to see my detailed impressions from a 15-20 hour perspective, check it out here.
Persona 5 Royal
All the RPG releases are doing their best to block my return to one of my GOTY contenders, but they will only be able to keep up that front for so long. I’m itching to get back into Joker’s adventure, and I love that I’m only 35 hours into what will surely be a 100+ hour endeavor by the time I retire it. If you want some detailed impressions from a 35-hour perspective, definitely check out my thoughts from a few weeks ago.
That’s it for me this weekend! What are YOU going to play? Stay safe during the holiday season!
