Weekend Gaming Playlist

With a lot of exciting games coming out soon in the fall and winter season, it’s the time of the year for me to look back at my ever growing backlog and try to clear through some of the games that I’ve picked up throughout the last year or so.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

When the HD Remaster of this Nintendo Wii title was first announced, I was so excited. I had played the New Nintendo 3DS version, but never had the chance to finish it. Having started playing again, I am falling right back in love with the game all over again. I’m still very early in the game (I just added Sharla to my team), mainly because I keep getting distracted by all of the side quests.

Disgaea 1

As a huge Disgaea fan, waiting for any sort of news about more Disgaea games on the Switch can feel unbearable. To try and stave off the feelings of longing, I’ve decided to go and play through all of the Disgaea games I own. I’m a lot more prepared this playthrough when it comes to building my team, and seeing Laharl and the gang again is always a treat.

Collar x Malice

While Collar x Malice is not my first exposure to otome games, this title possesses all the best qualities that I love about the genre. The story and characters are all fascinating, and playing through each character’s route actually offers a different experience to the overall story that I hadn’t expected. I’m already starting my third playthrough to go down Okazaki’s route, having already completed those of Mineo and Takeru.

Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia

Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia is a sequel to Brigandine: The Legend of Forsena on the Playstation, and I can definitely feel the age of this game- though not in a bad way! Weirdly enough, it takes me back to when I played Yu-Gi-Oh!: Duelist of the Roses on the PS2. I’m really enthralled by the combat system, and while it feels a bit overwhelming at the moment, I can see subsequent playthroughs going much more smoothly.
