Weekend Gaming Playlist (1-20-23)

It’s the weekend once again, and you know what that means? Fortunately for me, it means some solid gaming time! After the past weekend was consumed by home renovation, which was followed up by a hectic work week, I’m absolutely looking forward to just relaxing and playing some games this weekend. Here’s what I’ll be playing.

Dragon Prana

Kickstarting our KEMCO coverage in 2023 is this turn-based JRPG that actually released last year, but was put on the backburner because, well, there’s just too many games. Dragon Prana is in much the same vein as Dragon Sinker, Alvastia Chronicles, and Dragon Lapis, the former two of which are among the highest regarded KEMCO releases here at SwitchRPG. While it doesn’t appear to have the same chops as its coveted predecessors, it’s turning out to be a solid experience nonetheless. Keep your eyes peeled for a full review of it within the next few weeks.

Chained Echoes

I’ve just begun my adventure in Chained Echoes over on my personal YouTube channel and so far, I’m having a good time with it. So far, the writing is good, the characters are interesting, and while I take issue with some aspects of the gameplay, I’m very much looking forward to spending more time in this world.

Final Fantasy Tactics

I’m still plugging away at my Final Fantasy Tactics Let’s Play, as well. I’m right at the point where the story begins to get really interesting and I’m having a blast overall. It would be a crying shame if we don’t get a remaster/remake of this classic tactical RPG sometime in the next couple years.

That’s it for me this weekend! What are YOU going to play?
